Breena Buettner

Breena Buettner is a full-time real estate broker with Keller Williams, based in Helena, Montana. Breena ranked as the No. 1 Real Estate Agent in Helena for 2023, 2024, and 2025 by the Montana Regional MLS based on total transactions, and Top 25 within the state based on total transactions and volume closed. Having closed over 200 transactions, she has considerable experience in working with both buyers and sellers—including luxury homes, commercial investors, first-time home buyers, and everything in between. She earned a KW Luxury designation her first year in the industry, participates as the CCIM Montana chapter secretary, is a KW Commercial member, and recently earned the one of the highest designations in the industry as a Certified Commercial Investment Member from the CCIM Institute. Breena is an investor/owner of the Keller Williams Market Centers in Helena, Great Falls, and Butte and is the Supervising Broker of her residential and commercial real estate team, Waypoint Realty Group.
Breena's tenacious drive, care for her clients, and attention to every small detail are the keys to her success. Her natural ability to multitask, negotiate, and communicate effectively with all parties of a transaction are a few of the reasons why she has so many happy clients and a resourceful support team at her back. Breena has a keen ability to navigate the challenges of the current market so that every client can reach their goal. She is meticulous during all phases of the real estate transactions, from the staging and marketing of listings, to educating clients on potential strategies in their contracts. Because her time is invested with both buyers and sellers, she understands the nuances of both sides, so she is well-equipped to inform any party that she represents. She thoroughly enjoys getting to know her clients’ unique needs and how they are impacted by the market. Breena taps into her creative side to ensure any and all resources are made available for clients during the buying and selling process, and she doesn’t shy away from the negotiation process.
Breena received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of North Texas, where she majored in studio art and minored in psychology. She then traveled throughout Europe and worked across several states in art studios, nonprofits, and ceramic arts centers. Ultimately, Breena accepted a ceramic arts apprenticeship in Helena and her Montana values took root. With over five years of combined experience with Helena nonprofits, she found that executing a real estate transaction requires a similar skillset: one based on building relationships of trust and helping others feel rooted in their community. Breena’s abilities to connect on a deeper level with clients, prioritize and facilitate all of the moving pieces of a real estate transaction, and her love for architecture and interior design have equipped her with an edge that allows her to understand what her clients are looking for.
When Breena moved to Montana, she fell in love with Helena because of its community and landscape. She later met her husband, Malcolm Gilbert, who was born and raised in Helena and works as an attorney. They are proud supporters and members of the Archie Bray Foundation, Helena Young Professionals, Prickly Pear Land Trust, Montana Clay Tour, Montana Environmental Information Center, Montana Free Press, and Holter Museum of Art. When she’s not hard at work in her office or ceramic studio, Breena, Malcolm, and their Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Paco, can be found exploring the backcountry, mountain biking, skiing, packrafting, camping, floating, and sharing the beauty of Montana.
